May 1st - 16th
Spring fishing has started out strong. Kings were spotty in April, with fish only feeding at certain points in the tide and spread over a large area but as the days have grown longer their feeding window has expanded and they have concentrated around 4th of July and Diamond Creek. No spawners yet, but solid feeder kings in the 10-18lb range so far.
Halibut fishing has been fantastic with multiple consistent limits of halibut from 28” to 49” (10-60lbs). We have been catching our any size fish in the shallows between the Bluff and Stariski and our unders in K-bay in the western trench.
Rockfish have been mostly the pelagic variety with a few Quill Backs mixed in but consistently limiting when targeted.
